Riverside teaching pro Froi Silva has been giving lessons at these courts since 1987. Originally from Bolivia, where he coached top amateur and professional players, he offers both group clinics and private instruction.

Private Lessons
To book a private lesson, call Froi at (646) 528-3683. His rates are $35/half-hour. Semi-private rates vary, depending on the number of people participating.

Adult Group Clinics
On weeknights and weekend afternoons, RCTA hires Froi to conduct tennis clinics for adults. Skill-level categories include Low and High Intermediate, Beginner, and New to Tennis (for those who have never played before). Clinics are one-hour long and are limited to 6 adults per session. The emphasis of these clinics is on hitting a lot of balls. Detailed instruction is offered upon request of participants. Participants must be RCTA members ($35 per year). Prices vary depending on length of session, but breakdown to $20 per hour. For more information, schedules and to register, see Adult Group Lessons.

Children's Group Lessons
Inexpensive group lessons are offered for the children (and grandchildren) of RCTA members. These lessons are designed for beginner and intermediate players between the ages of 3 and 13. These lessons are not for advanced players but are designed to create recreational players and to acquaint kids with the very basic elements of tennis; Emphasis is on fun and development of basic hand/eye coordination. For more information, schedules and to register, see Children's Group Lessons.
