Calling all blankets, picnic baskets, and candles! The Riverside Clay Tennis Association is once again hosting its series of sunset concerts on the tennis lawn overlooking the Hudson River at 97th Street.

The Series, sponsored by the Nautica New York City Triathlon and the omega-3 sports supplement Recoup90, celebrates our fabulous park and represents the rich cultural diversity of the Upper West Side. Each concert begins at 7 p.m. and continues through shades of orange, red and purple, ending around 9 p.m. Bring your picnic basket and blanket and join us. Stick around afterward and watch the fireflies rise up out of the lawn and the stars speckle the sky. In the event of inclement weather, call the hotline, 212-978-0277, to see whether a concert has been postponed.

Saturday, April 10, 7 pm RCTA Musical Evening A fundraiser for the RCTA reserve fund, this evening on April 10 at the volunteer house, will feature a talented trio of Julliard musicians on flute, violin and cello. Sapel hemself has performed with Paul Winters, Billy Joel, Keith Richards, Oscar Castro Neves, and Walter Wanderley.   Saturday, July 10, 7 pm Rain Date: (Sunday, July 11, 7 pm) The Atwaters/Ed Baker The Atwaters/Ed Baker (RCTA members Ed Baker & Ron McClure along with Mark B. Lonergan and Mark Brotter) bring their unique brand of blues, rock and roots music to the RCTA lawns. Together and separately they have performed and recorded with artists as diverse as Dr. John, Bobby Radcliffe, Band Of Susans, Ernie K-Doe, and others too numerous to mention.   Saturday, July 17, 7 pm Rain Date: (Sunday, July 18, 5 pm) Efendi Efendi, headed by Scott Wilson playing his unique "Baglama Hydra"—a combination oud, saz, and bouzouki—perform music from Turkey, Armenia, Israel, and Greece.   Saturday, July 24, 7pm Queer Urban Orchestra Classical music performed by one of the city's newest and most exciting orchestras!   Saturday, July 31, 7 pm Dave Glasser Dave Glasser, saxophonist, has performed extensively with the Clark Terry Quintet and the Count Basie Orchestra. His quartet will perform straight ahead jazz originals and interpretations of American standards from the 1930's - 40's.   Saturday, August 7, 7pm The Gilad Blooom Band Electric blues, folk & rock, with a little Israeli-Reggae thrown in.
